license/permit experiences?

chewieu Apr 29, 2004 01:00 AM

I live in PA, and i've had my american alligator for almost a year now. I love him to death, but it upsets me knowing that i could get him taken by the authorities and put to sleep if they ever found out. What is the general process for getting a permit for such an animal? I assume it is different for every state, but there must be many similarities.. classes? written tests? fees? I would just like to hear general descriptions to know if it is something I could do. Thank you everyone.
