DFW Fish Society's?

efexotics Apr 29, 2004 02:53 AM

Salutations all,

Does anyone know of any fish societies for the dallas-ft. worth area?

I know this is the herp section, but I also know interests overlap sometimes. I've been working with google, but with not much luck. I know kingsnake, because my interests are herps and exotic mammals, but my girlfriend has recently developed a passion for tropical fish.

I want to help find her some guppies with coloration not available in just the pet store, but I'm not sure how to find local people working with colored guppies.

Anyone with suggestions, it would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you.

I know there is a cichlid association in the area. I would call some of the fish stores around and ask them. I would ask Planet Pet in Bedford, Keller Farms in Haltom City, and Fish Gallery in Dallas-which by the way had some nice guppies when I was there Sunday.

Thank you for the suggestion. I haven't been perusing pet stores in years, and I just moved to Haltom City. I'll have to look into the pet store here especially.
