Has anyone used redworms and a salamander/lizard feeder? If so, where can you get them? Are they better / worse than earthworms? I have heard that many places sell crappy worms.

Thanks!

Red worms (Lumbricus sp) should be safe--they're smaller than nightcrawlers, and can be raised in a vermicomposting box.

Avoid red wigglers (Eisenia foetida). These worms can produce toxins under some circumstances.
