Oh, and one last thing Katrina,
I feed my little devils usually every day(once in the evening). But after my little democratic nominees ate the equivelant of you or me polishing off the ponderosa buffet alone on tuesday, they got a leaf of lettuce to munch on last night and that was it.They ate it too, but then again we've all seen survivor and what people eat when they are starving(mmmm....toasted rat). But I think I might stick to that regimine of integrating more veggies into their diet.
Usually I just give them the reptomin pellets and every few days a few dried shrimp. I have some bloodworms that they like evey few days, and throw in carrots or lettuce which usually gets ignored. The feeder fish were an experiment.I think they died because the water was too warm and I didn't let them adjust in the bag long enough before I threw them in.
Any thoughts?

How long does it take for the water in the tank to cycle? And what exactly does that mean?

A Python syphon is exactly that, a syphon. It is a hose attachement that hooks up to your water hose's spicket. The running water causes the pythoon syphon end to pull water from your tank or pond with out having to manually syphon it out yourself by sucking it up, then gravity. They run about $20-$40 depending where you get it and depending on the lengh of the hose. Check out Dr. Fosters and Smith web site for them as I know they sell them. Hope that helps. Mike B.
