My male veiled chameleon has some black spots on him. These "spots" only show up before he sheds. they then disappear after his next shed.
Is this some kind of skin sickness?

Hmm, hard to see what you are describing. They might be small nicks in the old skin (many skin injuries and scabs show up as black areas on chams). As long as the spots are small, not in the same places each time, and disappear with the shed, probably OK. Next time you find pieces of the shed see if you can find where a "spot" was.
