I have a gravid leo and i was wondering if they shed right before they lay their eggs or if that has anything to do with it because my leo shed yesterday and is already huge. Will she eat after the shed?

I have never heard of any relation between the two things. Sheds take place everyy 2-3 weeks so that just tells that they don't have any relation. They will eat there shed but leo's normaly don't eat before they lay eggs are anytime near it. Make sure you beef her up right after.
Good luck.
It’s been my experience that they will shed a day or two before laying eggs. But the dead give away is digging. If you see your gravid female digging, get ready for some eggs. She should get her appetite back after she lays. Best of luck with them!
