12" x 6" x 3" deep
I use a relatively large container because some cages have 3 females in them.

Moistened coconut bark (or soil works well too) an inch from the top.

No lid, but I put a small half-log or slab of cork bark in there, so that they have something to hide and bury the eggs up against. I don't know that this is necessary, but I do that just so the geckos feel more secure. In the wild, they bury their eggs around the roots of small trees and shrubs, so I figure it must be a natural preference.
