How old are dragons when they reach maturity?

While 18 months is the generally accepted age of an adult dragon, sexually maturity can set in as low as 6-8 months. It is advised to generally wait until 18 months when their bodies have matured more before breeding.

Agreed with Mike....

Some do reach sexual maturity at around 7 -8 months, but generally speaking they are still not ready for breeding. It would basically be the same as a young teenage boy.. he has the drive and wants to do things, but just can't yet.

Always better to wait until your dragons are done growing (Especially females) since becoming gravid can rob her of the nutrients she needs to continue growing and strong bones, etc.
