excaped tegu help

my tegu got out about a month ago and i have not been able to find him. he is somewhere in the basement. i know he is still alive cus i have found poop in places where it wasn't the day befor. can anyone give me any suggestons on how to find him

depending on size, you could try trapping. Check out traps at the local feed store. Something in the $50 range if he isn't to big. Try puting sifted flour on the floor and watch for footprints and tail tracks. Look inside of things, they love to hide deep inside of things.

Agreed, depends on size. Call your local humane society, they might let you borrow a trap for free. We had a ferell kitten problem around here last year, I cought most of them with the box and string trick, but the last one cought on, but the humane society let me borrow a trap free for 2 days. Put some smelly food in it like hard boiled egg. Good luck

Again depending on the size I have seen people here suggest using a RubberMade box with high enough walls to keep the Tegu in. You make a ramp up the box and place their favourite food in the bottom. The idea being the Tegu climbs in for the food and can't get out. Good Luck!

try setting a heat lamp out and a water dish and maybe if your quit sneeking in you can get a glimps of him as he retreats back to were ever the hiding spot is It worked once for me with a savana
