So rosy reds are safe to feed to horned frogs/african bullfrogs?How do you keep them alive before feeding?

I still don't think they are good feeders, for fat reasons or thiamine reasons based on what I have heard about with snakes feeding on rosy reds.

I have some disagreements with that statement. The fat content is unlikey to be any worse than other feeder items offered to these animals. And the thiaminase issue is not really supported by the references I have on hand.
As I stated below, I suspect there was some cofactor along with the anecdotal information you provided that caused the problem with the garter snakes.
