shedding problem

throatoyster Apr 29, 2004 09:26 PM

I've got a columbian red tail that is getting over pneumonia and he had a sort of mucous build up around his nose. he was currently in a shed, so i soaked him to make sure every thing came off ok. however, the buildup around his nose caused it to not shed off. normally i would just soak him and it usually works, but i can't exactly hold him underwater. how can i get it to come off without drowning him?
thanks!

you could try misting him with a spray bottle around his face. i mist down my jungle carpet and she sheds good.
