baby eating questions

ericchen Apr 29, 2004 10:30 PM

i just got my two baby blizzards...one of them ate like 12 small to medium sized mealies in one sitting..while the other one is really paranoid and keeps hiding the ceramic hide....now i had to take the mealies out of the dish before the first one ate...so i'm kind of worried if they'll come to know that mealies are in the dish...its the first day ive had them so im not too worried that they aren't eating that much yet...but they are like 4-5 inches but not sure if i can feed adult mealies...

also if you buy your mealies...which mealie vendors do you guys use...ive heard the grubco and timberline are pretty good...please reply!

Hey!

There is a possibility that the second Blizz feels intimidated by it's cagemate or maybe it's simply the stress from just arriving. If you notice that the other Blizz is dominant or this habit of not eating continues, I suggest seperating the two.

I use reptilefood.com to buy my Leo's food and I've never had any problems. Good luck, let us know how you make out.

My guess is, Stress
you didnt order these guys long ago, so they or one wont eat for a while, until its used to its surroundings, if you git the blizz from a reputable breeder, then chanced of it being sick are slim, just give it a while maybe about a week, then offer food, for now, dont hold it, or feed it and only go by its tak when you need to change its water

hope this helps,
Dan
