Many thanks to horridumangeli and Mark Seward for responding to my inquiry about gila monsters and its allies. I am now wondering what books are out there about gilas? Are there any others currently available that I don't have listed? I adore gilas and would love to be keeping them. For now books on them will have to suffice.

Currently I have:
Gila Monsters and it's Allies
Gila Monster Propagation

And I'm looking to buy Gila Monster: Facts and Folklore... very shortly. I am also looking forward to Dan Beck's gila book. Does it have an expected release date or a title yet?

Carmony and Brown's book is great for historical information. I would definitely recommend it.

I believe Beck's book is due out next year sometime.

I got the Brown and Carmony book Gila Monster - Facts and Folklore of Americas Aztec Lizard last year after seeing it at Daytona. It's very interesting, in particular the historical accounts of Gila bites and the obvious distortion they contained. In at least one instance it's almost certain that the fatal Gila bite was actually death from incorrect medical treatment.

I bought it from Zoo Book Sales and it only arrived a few days ago. Eric is very friendly and helpful and the book arrived very quickly and in absolutely perfect condition! It appears to have never even been read, looks brand new! You could try contacting him to see if he has another, if not, there are many used book dealers online, have a look around.

The book itself is a fantastic read, I hope you can find one as well, good Luck!!
