Has anyone succesfully bred them in the United States? I know that tuataras do not reproduce until they are at least 20 years old and the eggs incubate for almost a year, but has anyone attempted this feat in the United States?

I believe that New Zealand has a reintroduction program where they captive breed tuataras and release them on islands without rats, has anyone ever collected information from them?

If so, in a few years this may be something I will look into doing (being young has its advantages )

Good luck. It is virtually impossible to get Tuataras in the privare sector unless you have some nice connections.
