My RES (1.5 - 2 inches) has a soft spot on the shell right by the tail. The rest of the shell is hard but that little spot is kind of soft. Is something wrong? I give it direct sunlight everyday for a few hours.

Also, what kind of veggies should i be feeding it? I've been feeding it peas from string beans. I was going to feed it some carrots but my mom doesn't have any in the fridge. Thanks.
