Shedding and nail clipping

kevinr Apr 30, 2004 02:49 PM

My BD is shedding for the first time. Bits and pieces at a time. How long does a shed take? Besides baths, is there anything else I should do? I am watching his tail for problems..

His nails are getting a bit long. I was planning on clipping them with a nail clipper. I cannot see any "living" areas like I do on my cats. How much do I take off/

Thanks.

kevin

small BDs can take a week or so to shed. Older ones can take longer. as they age, they tend to shed in sections.

www.beautifuldragons.com has a page in the health section about nail trimming with pictures

you can read more about nail clipping a bit further down this forum page as well
