OneTwoManyHerps Jun 15, 2003 08:27 PM

As of today we have 2 painted turtles living in our large pond. I was wondering were you buy the certain plants that they eat, we don't really have any floral stores or anything thats sells duckweed or so on. Any information or websites on were to purchase such plants would be Great!

Are there any fishing lakes around? I know my crankbaits always pull in aquatic plants, the same as the kind I have in my turtle tank. I confess, I bought them this year, but I havent been fishing as much this year. If painteds are native in your area, try checking out the ponds and lake where painteds live. Most ponds are overrun with various aquatic vegetation.

Also try your local pet store or fish store. Also if your WalMart, PetSmart or KMart sells fish they might have it too.
