This year I've had female pyro pyros ranging from a three-year-old (2001 hatch) to an eight year old lay good eggs. My biggest clutch was 8 eggs, 7 of them good, from an applegate special that was my largest female by just a few grams, she weighed 247 grams out of brumation--and she's the oldest, a 1996 hatch. I posted in a thread farther down re: the clutch sizes, but i didn't include age or weight info. The youngest female laid five eggs, all of them good; the smallest female (105 grams out of brumation) laid 3 eggs, all of them good (interestingly, i guess, that small female is a 1998 hatch). A number of the females appear to be ovulating again, to my surprise. Among those that are apparently ovulating for a second time are the largest female--and the smallest one.
