Punnet square and recessives...

pwottle Apr 30, 2004 09:31 PM

I am trying to create a couple of of punnet squares for multiple morphs and was wondering the different genes different morphs have and which are recessive and what possible alleles are. Any help is much appreciated. I am hoping you can understand what I said because it seems garbled and confusing....

I don't know if there are any special names for the recessive genes, but on my website I have all of the different recessive morphs listed and an example punnet square and how to set it up. It's on the leopard gecko morph page, which there is a link for in my sig below.

what would happen breeding those two together? I know the result somewhere down the line is a bannana blizzard but what about the entire line?

blizzard to patternless would give you all double hets for both traits, then breeding the double hets back would give you 1/16 normals, 2/16 normal het bliz, 2/16 normal het patternless, 4/16 double hets, 1/16 patternless, 1/16 bliz, 2/16 patternless het bliz, 2/16 bliz het patternless, and 1/16 double recessive patternless blizzards (banana blizzards).
