I got Sunglows for Fathers Day! Pics

summitreptiles Jun 15, 2003 09:19 PM

Actually,I got them last night. It was a DH Sunglow to DH Sunglow breeding. The totals came out 25 total live babies, 4 dead and 4 slugs. I got a total of 3 Sunglows, one of which did not make it through the night unfortunatley, 3 Albinos, 11 Hypos, and 8 Normals. One of the Hypos is a real strange one. Its seems to have half the head of an Albino and half that of a Hypo. Its body color is nearly white and it has very little pattern. You can see its head in the bottom shot and the body is on the far right of the middle photo. It seems to be something special.

Thanks for Looking,
Brandon Weik

Great job! It's always great to see a litter born. Especially of such sought after animals!

AWESOME!!!! Man, it looks like the Dh to Dh breedings throw some AMAZING sunglows. That is one very nice litter there. Some of those hypos are AWESOME, and that calico thing is very nice. Congrats. Sunglows are just breathtaking. Jeremy

That's really cool. Those are wonderful snakes!

I do have a question though. What do you do with the snakes after they are born? Do you leave them alone or move them so the mother won't squish them? Do you wash them, and if so when?

Your babies are soo clean it looks like they have had a bath.

I do take them out of the cage, then pull them out of the tub they were deposited in and into a new one, then the next day I clean them up if their cords have come off, if not then I just spray them and let them be until the cords come off. Hope that helps.

Thanks for all the resonses Everyone!
