Whats going on with parson chameleons? why do they costs $1500-$2500? Maybe im missing somthing

They have not been legally exported from Madagascar since 1995. The captive population after that time dropped significantly. They are very hard to breed with only a few ever being successful. Their 15-24 month incubation can be very problematic and they are the most saught after chameleon on the market.
