I found a wild box turtle... what should I do?

Chex May 01, 2004 02:20 PM

It was found in a parking lot.

It's only about one and a half inches. I don't know anything about turtles so I came here to ask what in the world I should do.

It's not moving around much right now except it opens it's mouth every now and then. I'd take it to the vet, but I can't get there right now.
Should I just release it? If so, where? I have a kind of swampy pond near my house if that means anything.

Any help would be nice. Thanks.

where is the most likely place that he would live that is close to that parking lot? Thats where you need to release him.
