Any Suggestions???

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions or recommendations for any particular breeder online when it comes to getula purchase. I am not completely new to the herpetoculturist game, but I have been absent for a couple of years. I am looking hopefully to establish a few breeding kingsnake pairs of the getula species mostly just for experience. I am young and I want to learn!!! I'm looking for an honest, fairly well known breeder who usually has eastern kings or florida kings in stock. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

p.s. I was considering Len Krysko, mainly because of Kenneth's write up on the "brooksi" varient. That was really what grabbed my attention when I was first interested in herpetoculture. However, I really know nothing about his stock. Thanks for the help.

I've heard good things about Krysko, and he also seems to be a nice fella. John Cherry also is well known and respected, and sells kings. Keep in mind that you may find what your looking for from other forum users, especially as hatchlings will be coming soon. For example, after seeing a post of one of Sasheena's snakes, I asked if she would have any hatchlings. Sure enough she did, and the snake I got from her is not only robust and beautiful, but has a great "personality" as well. Whatever you decide to do, take your time in making a selection and ask lots of questions.

Len's a good guy, with good stock, and the same's true of John. Howie Sherman in Norfolk, VA, has a reputation for producing nice chain kings. Bruce Skipper in St. Petersburg is working with the albino chain king. All three of them are wholly trustworthy. I think there are a few others here in the st pete area whose stock of the albino line might be old enough to breed this year, but i'm not sure of that.
