thekidgecko Jun 15, 2003 09:46 PM

ok i recently caught a texas night snake while on my herping vacation and was VERY lucky just to be able to bring it back because my mom has a phobia of snakes. He is now lost in our large two story and have not found him after scourig the house. Any ideas to attract him to a certain place, or any other ideas? I put a moist paper towel on a grocery bag covered by a proped up piece of cardboard under my bed in hopes to attract him, but no sign of him yet. Any ideas welcome! =)

Thanks,

TheKidgecko

My brothers 10' 70lbs python got out quite a few years ago. He was not living there at the time..just came to feed. My mom had noticed his cage open and him nowhere to be found. My brother came over 3 consecutive days in a row and searched all 3 stories of the house (Mark was caged in basement). On the 3rd day he and his friend were out of ideas and had even checked the ceiling of the basement. They were standing in the middle of the basement, thinking, and eating tuna salad.....suddenly about 2' of Mark came down from the ceiling. The tuna attracted him? I guess my suggestion would be to eat food in different rooms of the house, (hey, ya never know what'll work) and watch to see his head peek out...And ALSO continue to check the places that you have already checked, over and over.
Best of luck!
