i just found a wounded baby painted its about 1 1/2 inch carapace and it has a big gauge(sp) in its left front leg where the leg meets the inner body(what ever its called lol)ive kept painted turtles before so jsut need proper care for wound so i can care for him alittle before i let him go

Soak him in a shallow mixture of water and Betadine solution
for about 5 minutes 2 times/day. Rinse it very well and
keep him dry for about 30 minutes.

It should heal OK if there was no addition damage done.

where can i get betadine?

Any pharmacy or Walmart. It is over the counter and cheap.
If you have trouble finding it, just ask someone.
