Can somebody tell me whats wrong with my bearded dragon. It is a couple of weeks old. When I bought it, it seemed to act normal but a couple of days ago he started acting like he was dizzy or something also he doesnt want to eat.

by a reptile vet, could be something called stargazing, be something else, sounds nuerological for certian but unless a vet looks at him there is no way anyone here can diagnose it for you on a forum and treat it. You can list the things he is doing and list everything about your husbandry and people here may be able to give you advice on it, but i would definatly get the lil guy to a vet. Best of luck with him, if you need a vet let us know your location and perhaps someone can reccomend one to you.

WHat size crix have you been feeding it? This can happen when they consume a prey item that is larger than recommended. You can bring it to a vet, but there is not much they can do for it. It is possible that it will pass, but more often than not, this condition is fatal. I'm not trying to bring you down, but just preparing you for the worst. Keep us posted.
good luck

I had this happen to me. I saved the dragon but it wasn't easy. First, lukewarm baths (I did this twice a day) Be very gentle and rub it's belly. Next, I also used a ceramic heating element to keep her 110 degrees at night to help with the digestion. I used a laser thermometer and checked her once an hour. She managed to pass the blockage but hasn't been the same since. Try doing a search on impaction in the forum for more info.

Careful with that prey size and best of luck to you!

I understand large prey causing partial or full paralizes in the hind legs...or worse, but would it really cause them to walk around in circles? not saying your warning or assessment is wrong..just curious how large prey would cause this sort of behaviour?

From my understanding the large prey will put pressure on the dragons spine. This causes different neurological affects.

My dragon was walking "drunk like" or dizzy and was dragging her face in the sand like she had no control of her neck.

Very sad to see, I was very lucky that she survived.
