Sheesh, I have no clue as to what kind of Mud Turtle this is. Anyway, this is a pic of the male, he is about 3-4inches, his plastron is dull yellow, he can close it completely like a box turtle, he has some yellow speckling on the side of his head down his neck. The female is the same, except her speckling is flouresent green. Their carapaces are smooth with no keeled scutes. My only guess would be yellow bellies. But I am not sure at all. Can someone tell me please for sure what these are.
Also, I have two hatchlings that look similar to common Musk hatchlings, but they have no keeled scutes. Their bellies are orange. They also have two stripes down the side of their heads to their necks. Any ideas?
