HUGE BROADHEAD SKINK!!

BareFootWhiteMan May 02, 2004 03:00 AM

Ok, I could be overly happy with the size of this animal. But it is by far the largest I have ever seen. He is 10.5 inches unstretched(didnt want him to throw his tail). His head is 1.25 inches in width!! The reason I am posting this picture is because I want to know if this is some kind of record, or have I just not had the opportunity to see one of this size before. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I highly recommend checking with your state's department of natural resources, or equivalent, to see if it is a record for your state. There is a lot that we do not know about the small populations of reptiles and amphibians around the country, and you would be surprised by how much data could be reported to the state from hobbyist herpetologists.
