My new 13 unit rack I made yesterday...

Sweet_Pickle May 02, 2004 06:36 AM

This rack was made with the follwing tools:
1. Table Saw
2. Cordless drill with screw bit
3. 2nd cordless drill with drill bit

The following materials were acquired from Home Depot:
1. 6 sheets of melamine: 23 3/4" x 47 3/4"
2. 6 - 8' spruce studs
3. 3 - 2' x 4' sheets of pegboard
4. 1 box of 2 1/2" drywall screws

Total cost, not including the sweater boxes: $88.00

I bought the stuff at Home Depot at 11:30 AM yesterday morning, went to my friends house to use his table saw, and by 4 PM I was finsihed assembly and sliding my 28 quart (11 of these) and 14 quart (2 or these) sterlites into the racks.

I am going to build at least three more in the next few weeks.

Did you router out the back of the shelves for heat tape?
Here is a site for purchasing the heating cable:

I am allowed one room in my house for all of my snake activities (I am married ).

I keep that room at 80 degrees.

No heat tape - all of my snakes are thriving.
