Help! I was out barefoot by the pool when this frog latched its jaws onto my big toe! I brought him in for a photo. The ground thundered when he hopped. Yikes!

Do you think that Bene is a female? I think that "it" has grown past the size of a male.

Its hard to get a good idea of the size with the pictures so I have no opinion either way.

Ih, I have a Bic pen in the first pic for size reference.. Sorry, I should have mentioned that. Bene is almost 5 inches snout to vent.

Female at 5 inches. Almost assuredly. I have never seen a male pass 4 or 4.5 inches (and 5 is getting way up there for a male).

I agree, it sounds like a female at that size. If it was a male you probably would have heard him calling long before now.
