Gravid Hogg??? new clues..

patoquack May 02, 2004 10:25 AM

OK, I posted a pic of my female Hogg that I THOUGHT might be gravid.. she was a little swollen..
Well, then I thought maybe the swelling was her ovulation..
so I put the male back in with her and this is what happened.

I think I am learning something..

Usually when a 0.1 becomes gravid, she'll stop releasing pheromones & the 1.0 will stop breeding her. Evidently she might not be gravid. ALOT of people (including me) have made the mistake of removing the 1.0 prematurly missing "the window of opportunity"
Leave the male in there with her. Better to be safe than sorry. IMO. Dave @ East TN Reptiles
