They dont want to breed

coolj9688 May 02, 2004 11:09 AM

I have had my male and female together in the same tank for exactly 2 weeks and neither is showing interest in breeding with the other. The males beard is often black but he dosent make any advances on the female. Is there anything i can do to make them want to breed? Does it somnetimes take longer for them to breed? Is it possible they bred when i wasnt looking and are now no longer interested in eachother?

Thanks,
Justin

Very possible that they bred while you weren't looking. I'd separate them for a week or so, check to see if she's showing and if not then reintroduce them.
