Cypress Mulch...

turtle_22 May 02, 2004 12:35 PM

Hi,

I am in the process of creating an outdoor enclosure. It will be partitioned off...one side for my 2 box turtles & the other side for my redfoot & eventually a female mate for him.

I already put cypress mulch down on the redfoot side.
Can I use this as bedding on the box turtle side also?
I am thinking it must be a suitable, safe substrate.
If not, why, and what should I be using?

Thanks!

Cypress Mulch is a good substrate for any terrestrial or semi-terrestrial turtle.
