repzoo44 May 02, 2004 02:18 PM

Are there any free downloads out there to keep track of feeding, shedding and breeding. I know ive seen one in the past that you had to pay for but i was just curious if anyone knows of a good one. Thanks for your help.

Search for "Herp Care Software" (Name of program). It's free and excellent.

HEHEHE, I laugh because I do the same thing.(though not for 14yrs yet!) A friend does too and when we swapped a couple snakes I said we needed to get togther on the size of the cards...he uses 3X5 and I use 4X6.
I number the cards as I go on to the next for each animal. Keep current ones out and 'archive' the rest. Easiest for me to scan through them and find who is doing what when and who might be hungry etc. I can then set aside or turn sideways the cards of the beasties I have to deal with that day. Simple.

Haven't we warned you about tampering with the structure of a chaotic system?

Did you guys download it from geckocam.com. I went to do it but I got a warning about malicious code so I did not do it. Please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, I downloaded it from geckocam.com
I seem to remember that warning but ignored it.
No Problem
Once you get used to the way it works I think you will like it.
It's not a great amount but I am keeping records on 39 snakes with it right now.
Since I started using it about 5 or 6 weeks ago, I can go back and find the feeding and shed records on all of my snakes. I don't keep weight records but if I wanted to do it, the possibility is there.
Once you have species information and feeding schedules entered it will update you on when to feed or remind you if you forgot to feed.
It also keeps breeding and habitat records.
