2004 Jaguar Pics-Pipping

snakeroom.net May 02, 2004 02:52 PM

Hi,

I was fortunate enough to hatch a small clutch of eggs from my Jaguar male (from Henric Afors- MoreliaInc.com) to a normal unrelated female. This first pic shows them pipping, and you can already see a difference between the Red Hypo Jaguar compared to the normal sibling...

I was very suprised to see them out of the egg, ... The red hypo jaguar doesn't show any tipping in the pattern or background scales. Also, no dark scales that would usually outline the blotches... I can hardly wait until the shed!!

This is a closeup pic, ... the light pattern elements almost have a "golden" appearance to them, I'll post more pics after they shed...
