Nephrurus species sex can not be manipulated by incubation temperature. I should say that no one to my knowledge has been successful with it.
Amyae are sexable at 3-5 months old. You can tell males by obvious hemipene bulges. Body shape also can help aid in determining sex of young animals. Males are typically wider through the upper part of their bodies while females tend to be wider closer to the back legs. Bulges are the only real way to be sure though.
Life expectancy. I am not entirely sure as none of mine have passed due to old age. I do know of some other keepers have had animals for upwards of 10 years and counting. Their reproductive life seems to slow down at 5-7 years.
Roaches are the main food source mine eat. Lobsters are good if you can handle their climbing abilities. Adult Amyae have no problems eating adult lobster roaches. Females during breeding season also enjoy a pinky mouse from time to time. I don't know much about silkworms. Amyae, in my limited experience (7 animals), tend to enjoy prey that is a little bit large. Remember these are pretty big geckos.
Hope some of that was helpful,
Jason
