he feeds them mealies in a dish...so the geckos eat when theyre hungry...what cody said was the reason that they are that chunky is cuz his gutload works well...hes has given me great advice before....and i trust him 100%...so i think his gutload really works...im gonna get it soon too....and i thought "overweight" geckos have fatty pockets....so im guessing they really aren't "obese" in any way...but yes...they are on the heavy side..

not all geckos get fat pockets, and some get them when they aren't even full size or looking in the LEAST bit fat....Nevin's (grimreaper) male bliz grim has huge fat pockets and he's no where near looking fat. Not all of Cory's leos are obese...but for example Clementine....is definitely obese and should be put on a diet...Her (and a couple of the others...but not to as much of an extent...) obesity could very easily lead to serious health problems.

hmm thats interesting...because my experience with leos and what books say is that mostly all leos develop fat pockets if they are introduced to a high-fat content feeder...such as waxworms....some people that have geckos addicted on waxies and won't eat anthing else have huge fat pockets while their tails aren't really fat neither...so i guess there are two sides to this thing...thanks for the reply though!...im not gonna try to argue a vet-student...yet

and im ganna start doint he mealworm thing this week, iv only been using it with my cricktes. theyre tails have been getting a lil bigger, but not by much. so it does work.
