Hi,
i have posted here a couple of times about my boa not eating. and its been a month now since he had his last meal.I had him in a cage with my 8 foot female columbian boa and he was doing fine until i sold her which was a month ago. Why wont he eat? I have people making payments on him so the'll be picking him up soon! So i need him to eat. He is getting a little on the skinny side. I tried all the methods i can think of. ( live, pre-killed, frozen-thawed, and leaving the pre-killed rat in the cage over night.) None of them worked. Do you any more methods that might work? Could he be heart broken?? Just wondering.

Just a couple of guesses here.
The smell of the female might still be lingering around for him to smell. He might still be in breeding mode.

Or, do you have other boa females in that room? That could do it as well.

All my males are back on feed from breeding. It took some of them a while though. Some of my males didn't stop eating thru the whole breeding time. Others just started recently.........

Best of luck.
