my cage setup

the cage is fine the only thing it needs is some larger rocks that are secure so they dont turn the chucks into chuckwalla lazagnA. itr has rocks for them to bask on but not large enough for them to hide between. the basking spot reaches temperatures of 110F. to 115F. the cooler end of the cage is about 85 degrees. oh yah, what would the best substrate to use be?
they have plenty of hide outs besides rocks.i feed them 5 or 6 different kinds of vegies or plants a day because im still experimenting with foods that they like to eat. they seem to like rose petals chopped carrots string beans and any yellow colored flowers the best. its hard to get them to eat leafy greens.

Sand about 4" deep.

You could also try some shredded sweet potato and see if they like that to eat.
