Yet another question from me...

OftenK May 02, 2004 11:18 PM

Sorry, but I'm pretty new at all of this, so I have lots of questions.

My new one is this: I know iguanas need to stay warm. At night, I turn the heatlamp off, and there's a little heat pad under the cage that heats the ground. Only Manny sleeps on his log, which is basically as far from any heat source as he can get. Should I be worried? Or is it okay for them to be cooler when they sleep? I tried moving him a bit closer to the pad, but he just moves right back up the log.

Ay, Manuel, you're driving me loco.

I wouldn't let it get any cooler than 75 degrees.

Could I put one of those little space heaters by the cage to keep it warm?
