Hatching babies

Lazor1 May 03, 2004 04:10 AM

When you guys have a baby hatch and still have egss that hasnt.
what is your method of removing the baby and when?
Is it safe to leave lid off for air when the other eggs may need to keep humidity trapped in or do we remove the baby asap then put lid on
Any input appreciated.

There would obviously not be any damage done to the eggs if they lost some of the humidity that they had trapped, it would only regenerate once you put the lid back on. If you take the eggs out to candle them, then what would something as simple as opening the lid to take out a hatchling do? The answer is.. absolutely nothing!

Hi.

Open it up, pluck out the baby, close it up and let the rest continue incubating. The whole operation should take 30 seconds or so.

Good luck,
Joel
