Yet more egg questions......

sutmae May 03, 2004 05:21 AM

Hi all, again,

More Q's on eggs for those who know. One of my leos (still trying to work out which one) laid eggs last night. They were both laid outside the laying box, but both were in the cool end of the viv one at the front and one at the back.

When I found them one was as hard as a stone, kind of a yellow/sand colour and very deflated, caved in. The other one was bright white and still a little sticky which a nice shape to it and was a bit soft.

Does it sound like these to eggs were laid at the same time? I find it hard to believe that they would be so different if they were both laid last night, looks to me like one has been sat there for a couple of days.

I can't type alot right now but...

Some times you can get both a firtile and infirtile egg in the same clutch. What you said about the eggs mixed me up because both have signs of being infirtile and firtile.

If the slit wet one hardens up and its like chalk, then that is firtile.
