EGGS! & questions

BrianT May 03, 2004 10:36 AM

Well, sometime yesterday afternoon, my mali bulldozer, whom I couldn't figure out was a male or female, confirmed my suspicions. She laid 16 eggs! Now I have some questions about the eggs and the female.
#1) I have read a bunch of caresheets and have found incubation temps (88F-93F, I'm going with 90-92F) and the amount of time it usually takes for the eggs to hatch (About two months), but how high should the humidity be?
#2) The female appears very thin and worn, I was thinking about soaking her in a nice warm bath this afternoon. Good Idea? Also, what else can I do to help her out?
Thanks everyone,
Brian

hey! i have 16 eggs too! lol
yes soaking the female is a good idea.....they get worn out alot after laying. Make sure she is getting enough food that is supplemented and everything.
I too have read many things on incubation, i'm incubating at 90 right now....it's my first time so i'm kind of testing things.....unfourtunately i don't have anything to gauge the humidty so i can't give you any pointers on that one....also i haven't read anything aout it either......strange lol.
anyways good luck and i hope yo end up with 16 healthy babies.
