silk worms can be kept as a stable diet for the leos. i buy mine as a local "mom&pop" store, for $1.25 per 12. they only eat mullberry (spelling) tree leafs. so the question of are they pricy, and hard to keep, depends on the time of year, or where u live at. during the summer, when u can get the leafs, and breed and rais them on there own, then yes its easy, and cheap. during winter, its harder, and more expensive.
