Opinion Needed...experianced jax breeders prefered

Dr_Octagon May 03, 2004 01:33 PM

My two jax are getting close to that age where they will be ready to breed. i have introduced them to each other on a few occassions and my male shows no interest at all. he is about 8-9 months old i i would figure he would do some kind of display when a female came along. he either just sits there or somtimes hisses at her. the female is a bit younger but i figured a young "horny"pun not intended)male would want to jump any female that came along.

How long do you wait before introducing them to breed?
Have you ever had a less then interested male...if so what did you do to peak his interests?
ALso any other tips on successfull breeding are greatly appreciated

im thinkin jaxs take about a year to mature. also the mating of jacksons largely depends on the female some males can tell that he isn't gunna beable to mate and wont try other will go ahead anyways just wait about a week and try agian or wait till they get more light from the sun in the summer
