PIG FROG (Rana grylio) CARE INFORMATION....

AdamDispenza May 03, 2004 06:17 PM

What is the best tank setup for Pig Frogs, fully aquatic or semi aquatic? Are they mainly insect eaters or would they feast on just about anything (like bullfrogs)? What would be the best method of catching them? Thanks.

I would care for them like bullfrogs. They are found in the same habitat, occupy the same niche, and some people even have trouble telling them apart. Good ways to catch them are to find them on roads, go around ponds at night with nets and flashlights, and surprisingly enough, cast nets work pretty well.

You did the IWRC basic wildlife rehab course, right? I've been wanting to take that course for awhile. How was it? Did you like it? It sounded interesting and informative from the description.

Thanks!

I was supposed to take it. The night before I went to Outback Steakhouse and got food poisoning so while the class was going on, I was emptying my stomach so to speak. I heard it was good. I am going to have to make it up next time they offer a class around Houston or a city that is not too far away.

Uh, food poisening...
I got food poisening once from lobster. Missed the first few days of school. Still eat it though. Can't live without my lobster.
That's to bad.
Post about it when you do take it!
