Speaking of preggers......

I have been caught horribly unprepared. I do want to breed dragons and was carefully assembling good stuff. Got a great deal on a nearly new Herp Power Proportional thermostat and it is on it's way to me. Have a 20 tub snake rack with heat, I can fill the tubs with vermiculite and control the environment that way.
Came home to a clutch of eggs. These are from a female pet store dragon that does not seem old enough to breed; the eggs are slightly yellowed so they are most likely infertile but I am trying anyway. Put them into some slightly dampened Eco Earth mixed with coconut coir cubes (hey, it's what I had) and in a plastic container. Cut a couple of air holes for circulation and put the whole thing in their terrarium away from the basking lamp. As soon as the thermostat gets here I will set up the rack.
I read something about candling them to see if they are good after a few days, more particulars are needed. Not to mention any tips or techniques as well as website links. Thanks!!!
I have been doing a lot of reseach lately and I imagine I will be doing a lot more.....

Just moved the container to my rack with heat measured by several thermometers, do not have a digital yet; this way the temp can be stable avoiding a night drop.

I have a page about eggs and egglaying - you can have a look there. (see link below)

But... if the eggs are slightly yellow, they are most likely infertile. But it's worth a try! Good luck!
