Need help identifying this snake......

Have it narrowed down to Brown or Northern.

I am in Central NC

Leaning towards Brown due to Arboreal nature but not sure......

What do you think?

I think its a Northern but its hard to tell sometimes. Where are you located and where was that picture taken. Im in Greensboro. Thanks.

I am in Cary....snake was located at Jordan Lake.

I was at Pilot Mtn a few weeks ago and saw about 5 of these guys in about 15 minutes along the river. Good pics.
