cozumel mexico - seemed like a possible rear fanged colubrid, but i could be off as i really dont have a clue. found 3 of them around 8:00 all on the ground following curbs. eliptical pupil, very calm though one did skunk me - no attempt to bite or aggressive posture; they not even flee upon release. all very thin and i thought they looked arboreal but they were always on the ground and holes in the sidewalk were always close by. all around 24 inches. dry chapparral environment in resort parking lot and resort grounds.
