My agama never has turned blue just stays brown whys this....male/female difference?

depends on a lot:
Which species of Agama do you have?
What enclosure do you keep the lizard in?
Are there any cagemates?
What temps do you have in the tank?
Which lights do you use (only under bright lights like metal halides male show full colours)?
